What to Expect

What’s the Sermons Like?

Dr. Chris Webb, pastor at New Harmony Baptist

Church, has been preaching since 2002. Most often, his style is expository. He likes to “expose” the meaning of the original text to allow the congregation to understand the true intent of the Scriptures.

When applicable, he will use a topical approach.  However, even when his sermon is topical, he usually tries to utilize expository preaching within the sermon in order to remain true to the Word of God.

What Should I Wear?

Our church family wears a variety of

attire. Some dress formally in a coat and tie while others dress more casual in blue jeans and a t-shirt. Wear what makes you feel comfortable.

Upon Arrival, Where do I go?

Go to the front door of the Sanctuary where

you will be greeted by our friendly greeters, welcomed into the Sanctuary, given a bulletin, and guided to a place to sit.

Where Do I Park?

Directly in front of the Sanctuary, at the North

Entrance, we have reserved parking spots, marked with white signs, for all of our guests. You are invited to park there.

What is the Difference between the two Services?

We have two Sunday morning worship

services. The Celebration Service at 8:30 a.m., is led by the Celebration Choir. It is a blended service with both hymns and praise songs. It is located in the Sanctuary.

The Contemporary Service is at 11:00 a.m. Led by the praise team, this service sings praise songs and choruses. It is also located in the Sanctuary.

What about my kids?

We offer Children’s Sunday School at 9:45am. K-6th grade

have classes upstairs from our Children’s Church. Our Children’s Ministry area can be found at the end of the hallway from our Sanctuary. We offer a Nursey and also have a fun filled room for your toddlers to play in. During our church services we offer a Children’s Church filled with worship music, bible lessons and usually a craft or art project. Children’s Church is typically for our K-3rd graders. Children are always welcome to accompany you to either of 8:30 or 11am services if you prefer.
