Children’s Ministries

But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."   Matthew 19:14

Our Children’s Ministry exists to support parents in the spiritual training of their children and to strengthen families in relationship to one another and to Christ. We provide solidly biblical teaching for children from birth through 6th grade that is both engaging and age-appropriate.

Nursery (Birth - Age 4)

Quality care is provided for infants and children in the Nursery area located at the lower end of the Children’s Hallway and next to the church offices.  Our nursery is open for all regular services and activities on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Toddler Church (Ages 2 - 5)

Toddler Church is held during both the early and late worship services at 8:30 and 11:00 am. It is located in the Two’s classroom next to the stairs.  If your child attends the Two’s Sunday School class, they will be in the same room during worship.

Sunday School (Age 2 - 6th Grade)

Our children’s Sunday school classes are divided by age and grade as follows: Two’s, Three’s, Fours, Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth & Sixth grade. Preschool and Kindergarten classes are located on the first floor in the Children’s Hallway. First through sixth grade are located up the stairs beside Toddler Church.

Children’s Church

For ages Kindergarten through 3rd grade, Children’s Church is held during both worship services at 8:30 and 11:00 am. It is located the corner of the Children’s Hallway next to the Three’s classroom.

AWANA

AWANA stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed. It is an incentive-based Scripture memory program that integrates fun and achievement into learning the Bible. Here at New Harmony, AWANA is for ages 2 through 3rd grade and is held on Wednesday nights from 6 - 8 pm during the local school year.

PACK 4-5-6

PACK stands for Preteens Advancing Christ’s Kingdom. For fourth, fifth & sixth graders, PACK is our ministry to preteens. We strive to meet the needs of these students by teaching them how to defend & share their faith and by training them in relationships with their peers. PACK meets on Wednesday nights from 6 - 8 pm, at the same time as AWANA. They also have special activities throughout the year and during the summer months. The PACK room is upstairs next to the 6th grade Sunday school class.

Childrens’ Choir

Children’s Choir varies throughout the year, depending on the season and resources. It is typically held on Sunday afternoons in Children’s Church from 6 to 7 pm (during Evening Worship).
